ACSA

Apple’s ACSA (Apple Certified System Administrator) certification is an intermediate to advanced level certification for “full-time professional system administrators and engineers who manage medium-to-large networks of Mac systems in demanding and relatively complex multiplatform deployments.â€‌ This certification focuses on “advanced setup, architecture, design, configuration, integration, customization, and debugging.â€‌

The ACSA emerged in the fall of 2001, and has been updated for version Mac OS 10.2 in the last quarter of 2002. In terms of certification retirement, “Certification is valid for life for a particular version of Mac OS X and Mac OS X Server--that is, a person who has become certified as an ACSA on Mac OS X and Mac OS X Server v10.2 is certified as an ACSA for life on that version. Apple updates its certification exams for major Mac OS X and Mac OS X Server revisions.â€‌

Job roles of those pursuing this certification typically include: system analysts, system administrators and system engineers.

To achieve the ACSA a candidate must pass two exams.
