SYNOPSIS • CCMSE vs

Check Point’s exam 156-810, “Managing Multiple Sites with Provider-1 NGâ€‌ is one of three core requirements for the CCMSE (Check Point Certified Managed Security Expert) certification.

It is designed for security professionals who have expertise “in implementing VPN-1/FireWall-1 as an enterprise security solution and deploying Provider-1 in a Network Operating Center environment as a centralized policy management solution. CCMSEs are the premier experts for managed security services based on Check Point solutions.â€‌ There are two prerequisites for this exam: holding the CCSA (Check Point Certified Security Administrator) certification and the CCSE (Check Point Certified Security Expert) certification on the same version.
Moreover, Check Point recommends that candidates have “at least 6 months to 1 year experience of the product on which you are seeking certification.â€‌

This exam costs $150 USD and may be taken from Pearson Vue. The exact version of the exam is “156-810â€‌ and is offered only in English.

This form-based multiple choice and scenario exam lasts 90 minutes for candidates from Australia, Bermuda, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Ireland, South Africa, UK, and US. For all other candidates, the exam is 120 minutes long.

  • List the minimum system requirements for installing the MDG
  • Demonstrate how to install the MDG on a Windows platform
  • Demonstrate how to login to the MDG
  • Describe what is available to a Provider-1 NG administrator from the different views
  • Demonstrate how to configure the NOC firewall's Security Policy
  • Demonstrate how to assign a specific TCP service for MDG communications
  • Define a CLM
  • Describe the steps needed to configure a CLM in a Provider-1 NG environment
  • Describe the steps needed to install and configure an MDS MLM in a Provider-1 NG environment
  • Identify the differences between CMA Security Policies and Global Policies
  • Describe the steps for implementing a Global Policy
  • Describe how to create a Global Service
  • Describe the steps needed to migrate an existing Management Server into the Provider-1 NG environment
