Check Point’s CCSE (Check Point Certified Security Expert) is a mid level certification that is “recognized as the industry standard for Internet security certifications.â€
The Check Point CCSE emerged in late 1998 and has been most recently updated with the release of the CCSE NG (Next Generation) certification. In terms of certification retirement, “Check Point certifications are valid for a minimum of 18 months. Certifications are considered current if they are for the current major product release or the product release immediately prior to the current release. As of July 10th 2003, current certifications include Check Point 2000 and Check Point Next Generation.â€
Job roles of those pursuing this certification typically include: IS (Information Security) professionals, network security professionals or systems security professionals.
To achieve the CCSE, a candidate must pass two exams.
