SYNOPSIS • CCDP
Cisco’s exam 642-871, “Designing Cisco Network Service Architectures� (ARCH) is a core requirement for the two-exam, and three-exam paths to the Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) certification. It is a mid level exam for IT professionals who have the “knowledge and skills necessary to troubleshoot sub-optimal performance in a converged network environment.� The candidate must hold both Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA) certifications as prerequisites to this exam.
This exam costs $125 USD. It may be taken from Pearson Vue or Thomson Prometric.
Cisco does not publish the pass score for this exam which can include these types of questions: “multiple-choice single answer, multiple-choice multiple answer, drag-and-drop, fill-in-the-blank, and simulations.�
