Cisco’s exam 642-661, “Configuring BGP on Cisco Routers� (BGP) is a core requirement for the Cisco Certified Internetwork Professional (CCIP) certification. It is a mid level exam for IT professionals with an “understanding of the theory of BGP, the ability to configure BGP on Cisco IOS routers, and the skills with troubleshooting on BGP.� The candidate must hold a valid CCNA certification as a prerequisite to this exam.
This exam costs $125 USD. It may be taken from Pearson Vue or Thomson Prometric.
Cisco does not publish the pass score for this exam which can include these types of questions: “multiple-choice single answer, multiple-choice multiple answer, drag-and-drop, fill-in-the-blank, and simulations.�
