Cisco’s Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices (ICND) exam 640-811 is part two of two of the two-exam option to the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification. The two-exam route is the less popular route typically traveled by Cisco Academy students only. This exam is an entry level exam for IT professionals who have the “knowledge and skills necessary to select, connect, configure, and troubleshoot the various Cisco networking devices.� There is no specific prerequisite for this exam.
This exam, which is available in English and Japanese, costs $125 USD. It may be taken from Pearson Vue or Thomson Prometric.
Cisco does not publish the pass score for this exam, which consists of multiple-choice and drag-and-drop questions as well as possibly a few simulations. There are between 55 and 65 questions and the exam lasts 60 minutes.
