SYNOPSIS • CDE
Novell’s
exam 50-661 (course 995), “Directory Server Technologies†is one of the core
requirements for the Certified Directory Engineer (CDE)
certification. This exam is designed for candidates who want to build “a
foundation of knowledge for understanding Directoriesâ€, to know the history “of
the evolution of Directories, including their relationship to X.500 and LDAPâ€,
and to examine “three types of Directory technology; Netscape Directory Server,
Microsoft Active Directory, and NDS eDirectory.†There is no specific
prerequisite for this exam but candidates should have a fair bit of
experience with NDS and eDirectory.
This exam has a standard price of $125. Novell
suggests checking
with your local test vendor for more details. The exam may be taken from Pearson Vue or Thomson Prometric.
The cut (passing) score is 626. This exam is a form test
(traditional), consisting of 64 questions, and has a duration of 90
minutes.
