Sun’s exam CX-310-036, “Sun Certified Programmer for Java 2 Platform Upgradeâ€‌ is the one update requirement for the Sun Certified Programmer for Java 2 Platform 4.1 certification. It is designed for “candidates who have already successfully completed the Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 2 Platform examinations.â€‌ Holding a Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 2 Platform certification is the only prerequisite for this exam.

This exam costs $150 USD and may be taken from Thomson Prometric.

The pass score for this multiple choice and short exam is 51%. There are 33 questions and the exam lasts 75 minutes.
