Sunâ€™s exam CX-310-011, â€œSun Certified System Administrator for the Solaris 8 Operating Environment â€“ Part Iâ€ is a core requirement for the Sun Certified System Administrator (SCSA) Solaris 8 OE certification. It is designed for Unix system administrators with a minimum of six months experience. There is no specific prerequisite for this exam but candidates should be familiar with basic Unix and Solaris OE commands. It is a prerequisite for the CX-310-012 â€œSun Certified System Administrator for the Solaris 8 Operating Environment â€“ Part IIâ€ exam.

This exam is easy to moderately difficult and costs $150 USD. It may be taken from Thomson Prometric.
