CompTIA’s Network+ exam
N10-003 is the only exam required to achieve the Network+ certification. It is
entry-level as it’s meant for IT Professionals with nine months experience in
network support or administration. This exam has no prerequisites but CompTIA
recommends you possess the A+ certification.
This exam, which is offered
in English, French, German and Japanese, is easy to moderately difficult. It
may be taken from Pearson Vue or Thomson Prometric.
In terms of
cost, prices vary. The most advisable route is to purchase a voucher
for the exam from companies such as CramSession or PrepLogic for
significantly less cost than the $225 USD exam center price.
The passing score is 554 on a
scale of 100 to 900. This exam is in conventional format, consisting of 85
identification and situational multiple choice questions, and has a duration of
90 minutes.
