SYNOPSIS • Server+ vs

CompTIA’s Server+ exam SK0-002 is the only exam required to achieve the Server+ certification. It is meant for “mid- to upper-level technicians responsible for server hardware functionality.” These technicians likely have the titles: system administrator or network administrator. This exam has no prerequisites but CompTIA recommends you possess the A+ and Network+ certifications.

This exam, which is offered in English and Japanese, is easy to moderately difficult. It may be taken from Pearson Vue or Thomson Prometric. In terms of cost: “Prices of CompTIA exams vary, depending upon the country you are taking the test in and your membership status.
In the US, prices range from $93 USD to $225 USD.

The passing score is approximately 68% (615 on a scale of 100-900). This exam is in conventional format, consisting of 80 identification and situational multiple choice questions, and has a duration of 90 minutes.
