Symantec’s exam 250-017, “Symantec AntiVirus 8.0 (SAV)” is one of two requirements for the Symantec Product Specialist (SPS) certification. The other is to pass the CompTIA Security+ or (ISC)2 SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner) certification.

It is designed for candidates whose “responsibilities are focused on using a specific group of Symantec products within a Security designation,” in this case the Symantec AnitVirus 8.0 product.

This exam costs $150 USD and may be taken from Thomson Prometric.

This form-based multiple choice exam lasts 90 minutes.
