Radmin CS 3.0 Instant Messenger - Voice Chat


As spoken communication is often preferred to the written word - when a helpdesk technician needs a user to explain a confusing situation, for instance - a telephone is the best media. This is true when you need to consult a novice in computing or in many other situations.

As long as you have a microphone and speakers or a headset, you can use your computer for personal and conference calls via Radmin Communication Server Voice Chat.

Just like Text Chat mode, Voice Chat provides a common General channel and multiple user-created channels.

Once connected, a user can immediately start speaking and be heard by all who are joined to the General channel. For example, a confused user may describe his or her problem to the entire helpdesk team and hear an answer at once.

When creating a new channel, you can set passwords (user password and operator password) for your channel, as well as the channel type (free for all or conference). In a free for all channel all users can speak at the same time, whereas in a conference channel users form a queue and speak in order. A conference channel is suitable for virtual meetings, discussions, briefings and other tasks of corporate and mobile users.

Likewise in Text Chat mode, you can start a private voice conversation with another user. When the user accepts your invitation, you both leave your current voice chat channels. You can return to your channel when the private chat is finished.
